We are pleased to announce that JUB has been awarded a re-issue of our BBA Agrément Certificate, Number 12/4955 for JUB External Wall Insulation Systems.
The certificate relates to the Jubizol EPS Flexible Brick Slip EWI System, Jubizol EPS Brick Render EWI System, Jubizol MW EWI System and Jubizol EPS EWI System.
What does the certification include?
The certification of the above stated Jubizol EWI systems includes:
- factors relating to compliance with Building Regulations where applicable
- factors relating to additional non-regulatory information where applicable
- independently verified technical specification
- assessment criteria and technical investigations
- design considerations
- installation guidance
- regular surveillance of production
- formal three-yearly review

Thermal Performance
The systems can be used to improve the thermal performance of external masonry walls and can contribute to satisfying the requirements of the National Building Regulations.
Strength & Stability
The systems can be designed to resist the wind loads experienced for a particular location, and have adequate impact resistance.
Behaviour in relation to fire
The Jubizol EPS Flexible Brick Slip EWI System, Jubizol EPS Brick Render EWI System and Jubizol EPS EWI System have a B-s1, d0 reaction to fire classification and the Jubizol MW EWI System has a reaction to fire classification of A2-s1 in accordance with BS EN 13501-1:2007 and its use is restricted.
Condensation
The systems can contribute to limiting the risk of interstitial and surface condensation.
Durability
When installed and maintained in accordance with the Certificate holder’s recommendations and the terms of this Certificate, the systems will remain effective for at least 30 years.
The durability can be extended to 60 years by using different fixings and by following a planned inspection and an effective maintenance schedule.

Under ECO Flex, local authorities are provided with more funding to identify residents who would benefit from home upgrades, even if they don't meet the standard eligibility criteria for ECO4. With ECO Flex, households don't have to be on benefits to qualify for funding. ECO Flex Eligibility The eligibility criteria for ECO Flex is quite comprehensive. To qualify, your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating must be between E-G if you rent or D-G if you own your home. If your property is not currently on the EPC register, we can help assess it for you. You must also have a combined household income of less than £31,000. Alternatively, if you meet the EPC criteria, you can qualify for ECO Flex if you meet the following: Your home is within a specific postcode identified by your local council. You receive a council tax rebate (single-person occupancy excluded). You are identified as vulnerable to living in a cold home: someone in the home is pregnant, disabled or elderly, you have children under 5, or someone in the home has a medical condition. Your child receives free school meals. Your home is identified as being in debt to your energy provider. Another way to qualify is if you are identified by your GP as vulnerable to the cold and on a low income.
